Edna Cabcabin Moran enjoys sharing the Hawaiian “tall-tale” or ka'ao retelling of THE SLEEPING GIANT: A Tale From Kaua'i with children and audiences of all ages. As a professional artist, writer, hula dancer and children's entertainer, Edna offers a dynamic presentation highlighting an array of artistic, folkloric and literary elements. Presentation formats include: Assemblies, Class Workshops and Special Appearances.
Presentations usually include:
- The Hawaiian Oli
- Insights on Hawaiian storytelling
- The Author/Illustrator's path to publishing
- Activity (sitting hula and/or illustration demo)
- Q & A
Presentations are modified for the age/grade level of the audience and type of venue. For info about presentation formats, click here.
Booksignings are included with most presentations; however, the sale of books (or recommended pre-sale) must be arranged separately with book distributor or book store. Schools are eligible for a discounted book rate through the book distributor.
